Approachability; accessible parking area

In order to approach the area we provide accessible parking on two sites: there is one accessible parking place in the parking lot of Egregy Street and four others in Dombföldi Street for our visitors. We indicated the accessible parking places with signs and pictograms painted and the pavement of the parking places connect directly to the appointed route. There are no tactile lanes leading from the parking places since the paths unambiguously direct the visitors.

Guiding lanes were built only in the surroundings of the sights where the pavement required it. The surface of the sidewalk is slip-resistant outdoor pavement.

The surface of the paths leading from parking places to the entrances is slip-resistant even if wet or impure and was built with surface elevations less than 0.5 cm. At the same time parking and provisional stopping can be granted in the surrounding of the site via approval. Roman military grave for example.

Sidewalks; walking paths

The Times and Wines Walking Path can be approached by car and on foot. Pedestrian traffic is granted on walking paths and mixed traffic paths. The pavements are accessible. The direction of the paths are unambiguous so informative tactile lanes were built on the public domain only in the most necessary places and only as indications at the exhibitor buildings, at the bus waiting room’s sanitary unit and at the grave of the Roman soldier.

Entrances

There are two entrances along the Times and Wines Walking Path that were built with respect to accessibility: At the exhibitor building and at the bus waiting room’s public toilette. The bus waiting room is equipped with a single door while the entrance of the museum has a double door. It was not necessary to install ramps at the entrances since the shutters are connecting to the neat, paved surface.

Horizontal motion in the building, pavements:

The floorings of the buildings maintain the same height there are no inner falls. The corridors and rooms have appropriate size. In the areas with new pavement we also installed directive signs. The tactile lanes are made out of the material of the pavement (different colour and texture).

Accessibility in infocommunication:

Informative signs are mostly placed outside the buildings, outdoors and partly indoor. Appropriate contrasting and colours are supporting the orientation (flooring-wall joints, contrasting enhancement of doors etc.).

Inside the building function signs next to the doors are indicating the given purpose of use. The signs include the information with braille and with pictograms. At the sites of the Times and Wines Thematic Walking Path outdoor signs show the directions, the introduction of the appearance and the information. The signs contain texts in Hungarian, in braille and foreign language as well.

Induction loop

For persons affected by hearing loss we established a mobile induction loop. The mobile induction loop is placed at the desk in the exhibition building yet the appliance can be used in the whole building. The storing place of the induction loop is also signed with pictogram.
